How we do it
Specialised in mixed-media narratives, we love marrying analog and digital techniques to achieve a handmade feel in our work. Here are our favourite tools:
Stop Motion
A unique and creative form of filmmaking that has been around since the invention of film. With stop-motion everything can be animated. Name it and we can make it move!
Motion Design
This is probably the best term to describe what we do. Motion Design is the crossroad between the many disciplines we love. Graphic Design, Animation and Sound, just to name a few.
Illustration
We love to include characters and hand-drawn elements into our videos. We do this with custom illustrations and with many styles to suit your needs.
2D Animation
Trained in the art of traditional hand drawn animation, we not only use these skills on a daily basis but also teach it in film schools!
3D
3D is a wonderful tool that we continuously use to spice up our work and as part of the pre-production process.
Art Direction
A key part of any video, this is where we set the look and feel of a project and dive deeper into the world of colours and visual style to make sure we find your perfect fit.
Design
Once the Art Direction is set we use all of our design senses to create assets and make sure we stay on brand and deliver high quality visuals.
Handmade
As much as we rely on computer tools and softwares for our process we often switch to manual mode to achieve a handmade feel in our work.
Laser Cutting
When we want additional (hair thin) precision we use our laser cutter to cut wood, paper, acrylic leather and more...
Projection Mapping
Who else dreams of having their video shown on buildings and 3D objects IRL? With the magic of mapping it's all possible!
Compositing
We rely on our compositing skills to make sure that our mixed-media approach equals one single cohesive look.
Special Effects
Often overlooked, special effects can be the cherry on top and we don't hesitate to meticulously create custom effects one frame at a time.
Scriptwriting
Whether you have your own script or we help you create one, we always make sure that the ideas and messaging is using the most of the animation medium.
Video Editing
We always put on our video editor hat to craft a specific narrative, highlight your story, and create a more polished and cohesive final product.
Live Action
Our second love: Filmmaking. We've got the gear, the passion and the know-how to incorporate the 7th Art into our work.
Music Production
With a background in both classical Piano and Electronic Music Production. We can either compose your music from scratch or browse our huge library of licensed music to find that perfect track.
Sound Design
It was George Lucas who said "Sound is 50% of the experience"... and he's right. Choosing the right music and knowing how best to incorporate sound effects it is what makes our videos memorable.
Voice Over
We have relationships with a number of voiceover studios. This means we can find the right voice to tell your story. We’ll source the artist, direct the recording, and manage the usage licensing.
